Why should I use a quality outboard mixing oil?

We get a lot of questions about outboard mixing oil and we would like to share with you what we have learned over the years.

There is a difference between outboard mixing oils that are sold these days. Most oils out there have met a minumum standard that was extablished a number of years ago. That standard is designated by the certification of TCW-III. Which stands for Two Cycle Watercooled III. This standard was set so that oil manufacturers would be required to meet a minumum standard of quality. Although most oils have this rating on the back, that in no way makes them equal. The engine manufacturers have made oils for their own products that far exceed the minimun standards of TCW-III.

We recommend that our customers use Name branded Oils like Evinrude, Mercury or Suzuki. These oils are different in many ways from oils that you may find in discount stores. These oils are made from premium base synthetic stock and then several important additives are blended into them to make them superior.

We really like-

XD-100 Evinrude/Johnson Synthetic Outboard Mixing Oil

so much that we buy it by the barrel. Here is why it is so good-

• Uncompromised lubrication-specifically formulated for direct and oil injection outboards.

• Highest level of Lubricity for reduced friction and wear.

• Maximum detergency for reduced combustion deposits in engine.

• Smokeless, ordorless and ashless.

• Formulated for extreme operating conditions.

A quality oil like XD-100 means longer life, greater performance and less cost of operation and less repairs to your engine.

We offer this outstanding oil in bulk which saves you a considerable amount over the package shelf price. You can bring your own container or we have some gallon jugs at a low cost so that you may take advantage of buying in bulk.

Please call us for the current cost per bulk gallon or with any questions you may have about this important topic.
